What is a Crypto Average Price Calculator?
When you buy a cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin or Ethereum) multiple times at different price points, it becomes difficult to track your true entry price. The Crypto Average Price Calculator (or DCA Calculator) solves this by instantly calculating your exact average buy price based on your trade history.
Whether you are using Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) or buying the dips during a bear market, knowing your exact average price is crucial to determine when your portfolio will break even and when to take profit.
How does Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) work?
Dollar Cost Averaging is an investment strategy where you divide the total amount to be invested across periodic purchases of a target asset. Instead of trying to "time the market" with a lump-sum purchase, DCA reduces the impact of volatility.
For example, if you buy 1 BTC at $60,000, and the price drops to $40,000, you are down 33%. But if you buy another 1 BTC at $40,000, your new Average Price becomes $50,000. Now, the market only needs to recover to $50,000 (instead of $60,000) for you to break even. Our calculator automatically does this math for unlimited buy orders.
